Found Secrets and its affiliates have zero tolerance for Unsolicited
Commercial Email (a.k.a. SPAM or UCE) which is why we use a double
opt-in method to ensure that you wish to receive our e-zine or
e-mails. If you have not completed the double opt-in, we may
contact you via e-mail one time only to determine if you wish to
receive e-mails from us. Examples of behavior that we consider to
be in violation of our Anti-SPAM Policy include, but are not
limited to:
Sending or employing a third party to send survey related email messages to people who
have specifically requested NOT to receive such emails.
Forging of related email message headers to hide the identity of the true originator
of the email message.
Harassment, whether through language, frequency, or size of related email messages.
Any bulk emails sent without valid unsubscribe links, name and postal address where
request can be submitted for removal or that in any other way do
not comply with the requirements of the 2003 CAN-SPAM Act.
Any of the foregoing by our staff will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary
action up to and including termination of the staff member.
Our definition of UCE does not include sending email messages to staff members, business
partners, students, customers, members, or any other group that we communicate with on an ongoing or regular basis. Examples of behavior that we consider to be acceptable include:
Renting lists from third-parties who assure opt-in or double opt-in inclusion, and
where the service providers have provided clear opt-out or
unsubscribe opportunities.
Using opt-in or double opt-in lists we have acquired for use in our e-zines or other user
or member groups.
The following sources of email lists are usually NOT acceptable and will not be used by
any staff member of Found Secrets or its affiliates:
Lists generated with web spiders.
Email addresses collected from discussion lists or newsgroups, with the exception
of when the member of the list or group specifically initiate and requests a staff
member of Found Secrets to send an invitation to join our mailing list through our
regular double opt-in collection.
Lists generated with email address collector programs.
Generally speaking, any email list created in a way that does not offer a choice about inclusion is considered a SPAM list and our use of such an email list by any staff member is a violation of our Anti-SPAM Policy, which could result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of the staff member.
